People have asked me about masks, and I have wondered myself. Went looking, and found some info, thanks to this tip sheet from Asheron's Call Tips™. A HEARTY CONGRATS goes out to Tier leader Hung Well, for making Level 50!! As you all know, this isn't easy, and it takes a lot of work, especially when you are working 2 characters. Shout him a grats when ya see him in game!!

As info comes in from you all, I will be updating your personal pages. I have info on some of you, but will be mailing you soon on what to send me, and I will get it up, if you sent it. Just wanted to let you all know that what you sent so far isn't gone, I'm just going slow...sorry. Will prolly take a day to just do pages later this week. Keep the info coming in!!!

Agbayani sent me info for his characters, and I wanted to let you know to take a gander at his page. Of course more will go up later if he wants, but you have to start somewhere!! (Note to self: Need to update my own page...heh) Be sure to send your (everyone else) stuff to me!!

The new page is called "QUICK COORDS" on the left side links bar. This is a fast way to grab a coord to a town, portal or dungeon, should you happen to need it fast. I know there are programs out there that do the same thing, but some people don't feel like downloading them, or installing stuff that's unknown, so, the page goes up. Hope it helps some of you.

Yours truly made Level 71 today, and the lucky victim of my fortune was a Diamond Golem. I thanked him by looting him dry. 8)

We are going to have a little get together this weekend, and talk about whatever you want. What you want to do in game, what quests you may want to complete. All in all, just a get together so we all know where and who everyone is. Would like to swap ideas around, and just chew the fat. Seems the server the site was on wanted to take a bit of a dump. There may be some glitches, so I'm trying to work them out slowly but surely. Gonna be taking it a bit easy today though, not feeling all that well. Want to get a bull session type meeting, maybe Saturday, so we can all get together and get to know if we can help each other out one way or another. How about Samsur again, seems everyone knew where it was the last meeting. 8)

Every time I enter one of the Menhir Ring portals, I get transported back to the surface. What is going on?
The Fenmalain, Caulnalain and Shendolain Menhir Ring dungeons were removed from the game in October. However, the portals to these dungeons were inadvertently left in. If you go through these portals, you will end up back on the surface. Also, if you have tied to these dungeons, you will now find that your portal recall spell will not lead you anywhere. Please note, however, that the Fenmalain, Caulnalain and Shendolain Vestibules and their accompanying quests are still in the game and ready for adventurers.

Why are there still stars in the sky sometimes during the day?
There is a bug that makes it possible for stars to randomly fade back in during the daytime. There are no other side effects from this bug except for being able to see some stars during the day.

Why can I no longer give away my Black Boulder that I got on Aerlinthe Isle?
The Black Boulder has been made non-transferable. It will no longer be lost on death.

(From PC Punks™ Bugs) I don't know if this is widely known or not, but seeing how lag is an ever-present phenomena I thought some people might find this info useful on how to take advantage of it. When the server starts lagging (you know when you get like 7000ms+ route time) you can do something peculiar with charged mana stones. If the server is hanging, just double click on the mana stone, and target the item you want to recharge, and if you are lucky, the server will still be hanging, and you can go back and double click again on the same mana stone, and select another item (or the same one, whatever you want). When the server finally catches up to your actions you'll see a 'mana stone gives 100 mana to silver necklace' or whatever TWICE or THREE TIMES depending on how lucky you are (out of 5 trials, I got 2 uses out of the mana stone 3 times, 3 uses 1 time, and only 1 use once...you can either double charge the same item, or charge 2 or 3 separate items...I've done it both ways). So, there ya have it, get more outta your mana stones and finally use lag to your advantage! This *might* work for other items like healing kits, but I haven't tested it. (Note from Pun: Try at your own risk!)

May Lin stays in the news, with her flying into yet another level, congratulations on L55! At this rate, she'll be the new Monarch in a week or so!! Level 56 must be all of 2 or 3 hours away for her at this rate! 8)

May Lin wrote to tell me that she was in contact with game techs, about Game Voice, the new product that lets you speak with team mates in games. Well, she was told that it will not work correctly until DirectX 8.0 comes out (Supposed to come before the end of the year) and that she would also need to update the Sound Card and Video drivers as well. She told me that you may want to wait until all this comes out before you think of buying one.

Welcome a new member to the Brothers of the SHARK. His name is Skar-Tah, a L1 Sho Archer, and real life friend of mine. If you see him in game, do me a favor and holler hello and guide him through some tough stuff. He is a good gamer, but just needs to get the hang of the game. He just started this morning, and played a total of 90 minutes, so he is about as fresh as they come. He is sworn to Zod-Tu Punisher, so he can raise his alchemy, and then all we need is a good cook.

The AC dev Team answers questions people in our group may be interested in. Some of the topics are very important. Note the weapons questions especially. Seems the only 2 weapons they are going to tweak again are dagger and mace, but, they will be adding new types for the rest later. Spear was mentioned also. A good read. May Lin is on a streak. Seems she is leveling almost daily! Keep it up May. May has also offered to buff newbies if needed, so if ya want to go hunt with buffs, give her a @tell in game. She's L54, and told me she's closing in on L55 fast. Congratulations.

OK, ya ever want to buy something, say a high level potion, but forget where to get them? Or where to get arrowheads, or other special items? Well, let's all do something about that.

I would like you to mail me coords of these places that you know about, so I can set up a page for all that stuff. (Thanx for the great idea Beldar!) Then, all you need to do, is hit one page, and boom, the info is there for quick reference. Also, needless to say, a few of you have been a bit less than helpful posting a few things about the shadow speak, on the quest board. I hope that I can count on you to remember to throw it out there.

Do me a favor, and mail me these places so I can get a page up and running. Now...the things I need for the info are for example..

Town item/person is in (or coordinates, if in the boonies)
Name of person
Location (example...armorer, bowyer, etc.)
If the person is in a safe or unsafe area (Maybe it's in a outpost or dungeon)

I really need to start getting some input people. I mean, it takes all of 10 seconds to note the stuff down, then toss me a mail. Lets get on the ball here, so the site can be your creation also.

Surprisingly, an astute and terminally insane bunch of people (Dio of Frostfell and some talking chimpanzees) from #asherons-call just discovered that when you hand an Aluvian Dress to any Leather Crafter (some say only Aluvian Leather Crafter), the Crafter will alter the dress to show a bit more of the *ahem* cleavage. Anyone looking closely will also see tan lines from 11 months of wearing the upper tank top (on women). It is strongly suggested that men do not try these dresses on as they have been known to cause severe trauma in the ones viewing them. (Taken from Crossroads of Dereth)

Also, if you provide a dye and level 6 buffs, Agbayani can now dye clothing. You need to collect the Beminphur plants to make the dye itself, and the different colors are found in different areas of Dereth. Ag also is in need of L2 Focus and Self jewelry.

Seems that with all the new mage type stuff coming out, that costs an arm and a leg, people (mostly mages) are in need of notes/Pyreals pretty bad. A good idea for you all is to either hunt the big game...like Altered Drudges, and Umbris/Panumbris, or go to the island of Aerlinthe, and kill stuff there for the big loot. Another idea, is to do THIS (click here). Tell us where you may have found a good solution to your money woes, if you know an easier way. I know about comp costs, trust me, especially during a guild buff session, where I can literally spend almost 200K in comps alone. That's a hunk of Pyreals baby. Help out your fellow mages if ya got extra.

Prymos has dropped some coordinates on the message board about the Lost City, go check it out!

May Lin took it to level 53 today! A congratulations goes out to her from the Guild! I'll start reposting anyone leveling in a 5 level range up to 30, and then every level after that, so post me an email, so I can drop it in here! BTW, She is now tied to the Black Spawn Den (Tuskers) and will be happy to give you a ride there when she is on, so feel free to message her. She is life stoned in Mayoi, so you will have to get there for the ride. BTW, thanx for the site comment May.

News Page goes up!!! The members links are good to go so far. Would like members to test the site, and tell me how it looks on their machines. If you encounter any problems, let me know on the message board, or an email. At the moment, nothing is too small a problem. If the problem is due to you using Netscape Navigator, please use Microsoft Internet Explorer instead, version 4.0 or later. I'm using a lot of colors right now, just to see some different looks, but if some bother your eyes a lot, tell me, and I'll make adjustments.

Please visit the members page, and test out the links there, and also your own page. If I forgot anyone...I APOLOGIZE RIGHT NOW. Don't get all mad, it may be that I have the picture, and page, but when you are starting fresh, things get lost in the shuffle, and I'm not at the desk 24/7. So a lot of the little things (well, forgetting someone is a BIG thing) get past me. Remember to hit the main site from now on, instead of just the board, I will try to update the news at least once a day, or once every 3 days depending on how fast or slow things are. If you find anything newsworthy, pass it to me in a mail ASAP, so I can get it up on the site. I will be archiving articles, so if you need to get some info a month or 2 from now on something that was posted here, you'll be able to, with no problem.

Quests will start to be scheduled for members again, once things get back to semi-normal for me, I'll keep you updated. I want to take a group out to the island, and also take out some lower levels and let them get some big xp with a few higher level members help, we can set a day and time for these events later. Throw out any ideas you have on the subject, places you want to go, what to do, etc.
