Hawk of Haven

(The Unauthorized Biography)

 Happy and content to have a break from battle, the warrior strolled through the Aluvian Village known to its residence as Haven. At one farm, he noticed a boy feeding the chickens, and seeming to talk to them as he said, "bawk bawk bawk".  When the boy turned and noticed the warrior chuckling, he began to see red.  Though one small boy facing a warrior, the boy jumped him, and began slugging his armor with bare fists. 

The fierce (though futile) attack, made the warrior stop and think back to his own childhood. After apologizing and calming the boy down, and before going on his way, the warrior handed the boy a small practice sword from his pack. The boy took the sword in awe and began examining it in minute detail. The boy began to practice with the sword almost immediately, and barely noticed as the warrior started on his way. 

As he was leaving, the warrior bowed to the boy and said, "Perhaps when we meet again, we shall both be warriors. Fare well little Bawk." The boy, so engrossed with the sword, misunderstood the warrior, and thought he had called him Hawk. From that day forward, he went by no other name than Hawk. He trained with the sword every chance he got. Now, many years later, the warrior Hawk of Haven, has many swords, yet he still remembers the first sword given to him, and hopes to meet that other warrior again.
